In the event of strong wind and/or rain, the Wind and Rain Control receives a corresponding signal from the respective sensor and sends a closing command to the ventilation actuators, pneumatic valves or SHEVS control centre. This protects flaps and domelights from being damaged or torn off by strong winds. It also prevents rain from penetrating into the interior of the building and from damaging valuable fixtures or equipment.
The WRS 101 can be used as an independent ventilation control. Besides a menu for function setting, the control has a WIFI function to download software updates and to connect and operate the control with the app K + G Control Center.
The signal to the control centre or ventilation control is made via two separate potential-free changeover contacts. To prevent dew or ice from accumulating on the sensor surface and triggering a false alarm or impairing its functionality, the sensor surface of the rain sensor can be permanently heated.
