OPEN/CLOSE priority valve VVAZ

This priority valve is used in OPEN/CLOSE controls. There it connects two CO₂ OPEN lines or one compressed air line and one CO₂ OPEN line. Furthermore, two CO₂ CLOSE lines or one compressed air line and one CO₂ CLOSE line are interconnected. Reciprocal venting must take place in the control valves for the OPEN/CLOSE function.

In normal state, the VA inlet is connected to the CA outlet, and VZ inlet to CZ outlet. When pressure is admitted to the CO₂A inlet, the valve reverses, connecting the CO₂A inlet to the CA outlet and the CO₂Z inlet to the CZ outlet. The VA and VZ inlets will be closed off. The same applies when pressure is admitted to the CO₂Z inlet.

The CO₂ inlets are controlled by OPEN/CLOSE combination release valves, the VA/VZ inlets e.g. by hand lever valve HH5/2.

For pipe connection of the valve, six male connectors 1/8″ (z. B. B1-6-1/8) will be required additionally.

The design of the SHEVS may require reliable venting of the piping.
