This VdS-approved optical smoke detector works with photoelectric detection. If smoke enters the detector during a fire, it scatters the light beam emitted by a light source. This scattered light is captured by a photocell, triggering an alarm.
Continuous, microprocessor-controlled monitoring of the optical sensor chamber according to specially developed algorithms ensures that interference fields are suppressed and false alarms are avoided.
The detector can be easily and quickly mounted on a standard or relay base thanks to its quarter-turn fastener. Cleaning of the insect screen is facilitated by the removable cover. Automatic measured value tracking ensures consistent sensitivity after routine cleaning.
